The position regarding travel during the pandemic is still the same - Only leave your home for food, health or work (if you cannot do so from home) and essential travel only.

We will continue to follow the government website and professional advice given and open the cemetery for people to visit and maintain graves as soon as advised it is safe to do so.

All parks and play areas are

until further notice to prevent the spread of covid 19 and to support social distancing measures.

Despite the council closing and locking the gates to the play areas and public spaces and putting up signage, negligent people have removed the signage and opened the gates. This narrow minded act, has put innocent people at huge risk!

The council followed the advice from the government and their insurance company. The gates, benches and equipment pose a contamination risk, Social distancing is not being observed and the social gathering instruction of 2 or more is not being followed.

As the parks are officially closed no maintenance, litter picking or safety inspections can take place, therefore any incidents occurring on these areas will be refuted by the insurance companies during this time.

The parish council will continue to take directive from the government and insurance companies, and will open them when advised it is fit to do so.
